Moat Mountain Photography has chosen the medium of photos rendered on artists canvas mounted on wooden frames as the best way to display the bold and colorful White Mountain (NH) scenery, flora and fauna.
Photographic inks applied to canvas provide highly saturated, vibrant images that are striking ! The canvas is mounted on 1 1/2 inch pine and wrapped around the edge of the framework to provide what is called a gallery wrap. The net effect is an extremely colorful image that takes on the matte texture of the canvas and the inks last a lifetime.
Canvases are available in matte or satin finishes that provide UV protection.
Canvas owners say that while detail is excellent many canvases take on a painterly look and because canvas is a two dimensional medium there is definitely a multi dimensional look to the canvas.
